Paint Correction Details...

Paintwork correction is a specialized process requiring years of practice to perfect. The process involves removing swirls and fine scratches with professional tool and products not typically available to the enthusiasts. Considering the average vehicles paint is only 100-130 microns (1 micron = 1/1000th of an inch!) thick, you'd want to be sure the person polishing it knows what they are doing. Swirls, light scratches, holograms and marring can all be effectively removed whilst deeper scratches will be visibly improved and become less noticeable.

Prior to machine polishing we measure the paints thickness with an electronic coating thickness gauge. Typically factory paint will be between 110 and 130 microns thick on production vehicles and around 150-300 microns thick on hand painted models. Polishing your paint to achieve correction levels of 90-95% typically involves removing between 4 and 10 microns of clear coat. By keeping track of the amount of paint removed, the integrity of the surface's coating will never be compromised. As a result of machine polishing your vehicle's paint will be smoother, with less imperfections and is guaranteed to look better than the day it left the showroom floor!

 

Single Stage Polish.

Is your car in need of polishing? Most cars could benefit from at the very least, a one day, single stage polish. This process will remove minor swirls and other imperfections accumulated from poor washing techniques, thereby improving the paintworks brightness, reflectivity and gloss levels.

This option includes all the basic elements from the Protection Detail.

Cars: 12-14 hours, priced from R1800.
SUV's: 13-15 hours, priced from R2200.00

 

Two & Three Stage Polish.

If your vehicle is in need of something a little more intensive to rectify all the imperfections, we can perform a 2 or 3 stage polish. By using a more aggressive polishing combination, we are able to remove defects like etchings, as well as some of the deeper scratches.

As with the Single Stage Polish above, everything from the Protection Detail is included along with 2 or 3 dedicated polishing stages.

These packages can take anywhere from 2 to 4 days to complete and are the ideal treatments for the discerning client who demands nothing but the best.

2 Stage Polish
